An interactive installation.
Depict visualizes interpersonal relations and communication in public space – in this case in a coffee shop. Microphones attached to the tabels are the interface of the installation, which send the input for the visual composition, which is projected on a screen. This enables imaging a direct connection between table and image, and recognizing silence and compression in a visual way. Depict is an abstract representation of human interaction, which is processed via man-machine interaction.
Contents of the image are graphical elements which represent loudness, frequency bands and daytime with shape, size and color. The so developing structure is dynamic and created in real-time.
