Livevisuals for the “Night of the Organ” in the St. Andrä Church, Salzburg.
The kon.txt project for the visualization of the “Night of the Organ” concert included the whole creative process from creating a concept for three hours live organ music, creating footage and preparing generative elements, booking the technical equipment and of course performing live to the music.
The most interesting aspect was that we were completely free in the design (except the topic “night” which we hat to incorporate), and that the projection was in front of the audience while the organ players were sitting behind the people. So we decided to stay calm and not to take too much of the listeners/viewers attention. Like the music, we let the visual part develop from historical and concrete subjects, up to modern improvisations.
