A net art project – mirror of world’s society, live and democratically
“World’s Notes” is a project I developed in the experimental design course with Markus Hanzer. It’s a visual application, realized with vvvv. (I’m currently searching for someone who is interested in a flash conversion, just contact me.)

World’s Notes is scanning the zeitgeist with two of the largest internet applications: the newest Wikipedia entry is displayed, and his headline is being send to Google’s Imagessearch to subsequently combine text and image.
One the one hand, this can entertain the user, because the image/text combination may not always be sensible. It’s also possible to watch the Wikipedia getting spammed with neologisms, just feeling the rhythm of new entries, or perhaps seeing the future celebrities for the first time.
But on the other hand, World’s Notes also poses serious questions. How relevant are the topics, the humanity is feeding encyclopaedias with right now? How serious can the attempts be taken, to investigate such mostly unknown terms in a figurative way? What’s engaging the humanity?

World’s Notes is being feeded live by human beings. A mirror of world’s society, live and democratically.
